Between Places (2000-2001)

 

These works represent anonymous points on pilgrimage routes.

Driven by intuitive impulse, I was hoping to transform arbitrary places.

I was interested in the initiating power of the camera to elevate the photographed location from all other locations along the route.

Most images were taken at night at the side of motorways and were lit by the passing vehicles; the psychedelic luminosity rendered the image giving it its supernatural glow.
